For children, early detection and intervention can be crucial in curtailing the effects of childhood disorders and syndromes. For children, adolescents, and adults, identifying strengths and weaknesses can help to accurately diagnose and thus recommend appropriate accommodations for students so they may pursue their education in a more balanced academic environment.
